Tower of Pisa - can go up the tower from age 7 (I think!). You have to book in advance or early in the morning for a visit during the day.

Swimming Pool - there is a large open air swimming pool only 5 mins in the car. It costs around 7 Euros each per day, and has a large pool with aqua slide, and two smaller pools. Wave machine, sun loungers and cafe.
Swimming Pool "Ego" - this is a new pool, which is part of a members gym club, but the public are able to go on certain days. Again close to the house, and offers a more luxurious atmosphere, bar, showers, changing rooms etc. (costs a bit more)

Nozzano is located not far from the coast of Viareggio and Marina di Vecchiano, the mountains, lake Massaciuccoli, and the Garfagnana. Amongst the beautiful surrounding hills of Lucca are famous antique and historic villas and celebrated DOC wines. Olive groves, fruit trees and vineyards gives the countryside of Lucca a rural tuscan beauty.
Closer to home, Nozzano is perfectly located for a number of open-air sports, it's near the new River Park, a protected area along the banks of the Serchio. It is only a few metres away from the paths which can take you into downtown medieval Lucca either on foot or by bicycle. Lucca has a unique cycling path (bikes for rent available by the hour in Lucca) on it's walls, 4.5 kms, that will enable you to admire it's historical center; Mountain biking on the 11 kms., along the river park; Excursions within the park, ideal for tree-lovers or birdwatchers; Football: for whoever wishes to play or practice on a full-size grass football field only 100m away; The Horse Club on the river bank; A Fitness Club- with a new BEAUTY-CENTER only 2km. away; Canoeing on the River Serchio; The Tennis Club in Vicopelago at 3 kms; An Olympic summer swimming-pool within 1 km; Four Golf Clubs in our area: Golf Club Tirrenia Golf Cosmopolitan Golf Club Versilia Golf Club Montecatin and a Kayak and Canoa club.

The streets are filled with Medieval fayre and antique traditions, entertainment and stalls providing a glimpse of what life was like in the 1300's. Euros are exchanged for antique money and produce, crafts and delicious gastronomical delights for this century are on sale. A great family night out.
